Computer tutorial for beginners: find your Telstra Wi-Fi password
Having trouble connecting your phone, tablet, laptop, or smart TV to the internet at home ? If your internet provider is Telstra (Australia), this easy step-by-step guide will help you find your Wi-Fi password quickly and without stress.
This tutorial is designed for beginners, seniors, and anyone who is not very comfortable with technology. You will learn several simple ways to locate your Telstra Wi-Fi password, even if you have never changed it before.
Knowing your Wi-Fi password is essential to connect all your devices. In this guide, Y explain how to find it by checking your Telstra modem, using the Telstra app, viewing connected devices, or resetting the modem if needed.

I usually start by checking the modem label or using the Telstra app. These are the easiest methods.
🔹 How to Find Your Wi-Fi Password – Telstra Modems & Routers
1. Check the label on your Telstra modem
Most Telstra modems (Smart Modem Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3, etc.) have a sticker on the back or bottom showing:
Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID)
Wi-Fi Password (also called Wireless Key or Network Key)
👉 This is often the fastest way to find your password.
You may want to write it down and keep it somewhere safe.
2. Use the My Telstra App or Telstra website
The My Telstra app (available on iPhone and Android) or the Telstra website allows you to:
View your Wi-Fi password
Change your Wi-Fi password
Manage connected devices
This method is very useful if the label on the modem is missing or hard to read.
3. Telstra modems with a display
Some Telstra Smart Modems have indicator lights or on-screen information.
Depending on the model, you may be able to access Wi-Fi details through the modem settings page.
4. Find the password on a device already connected
If one of your devices is already connected to the Wi-Fi, you can view the saved password.
On Windows
Open Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi
Open Network properties
View the saved password
On Mac
Open Keychain Access
Find your Wi-Fi network
Show password
On iPhone / iPad
Go to Settings → Wi-Fi
Tap the (i) next to your network
View password (requires Face ID / Touch ID)
On Android
Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi
Select Saved networks
Share or view password
5. Reset your Telstra modem (last solution)
If you cannot find the password:
Press and hold the reset button on the back of the modem for about 10 seconds
The modem will reset to factory settings
A new Wi-Fi password will be created
⚠️ Important: All devices will need to reconnect using the new password.
Summary
1. Check the label on your Telstra modem
2. Use the My Telstra app or website
3. Check modem display or settings
4. Look on a device already connected
